Tour Britannia 2006

After the huge success of this years initial event, I'm happy to say that next years is bigger & better. It starts on Tuesday September 5th & runs to Friday the 8th. It's based in Combe Abbey (Coventry) & each day will visit a race track, don't know in which order, except that it will finish @ Silverstone again. The 4 circuits are: Cadwell, Donington, Mallory & Silverstone, there will be the usual Hill Climbs as well. Again it's for pre 1976 cars.

A quick update on the event. The entrieas have now passed the 50 mark, a dramatic improvement on this time last year.

The route has changed a bit. There will still be a circuit each day but they are now Oulton on Tuesday 5th September, Donington on Wednesday, Cadwell on Thursday, and Mallory on Friday 8th.

There will be the usual stages and hills including Loton Park on the Tuesday.

The full entry list and itinerary are on the website www.TourBritannia.com.

We did our best last year but promise to look after marshals even better this time round. We intend to have hot drinks and snacks at all circuits, cloth badges, programmes, etc. for all who sign on.

Anyone needing more information or wishing to go on the mailing list can contact me at Fred@TourBritannia.com

Alan Green should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Will have to see what I can fit in this year en-route to Silverstone for the 24h (shame the Tour doesn't finish there again, saved a lot of hassle) - Looks like it might be Donington and Curborough (my first visit) on Wednesday am, and Belvoir all day Thursday before heading for Silverstone.

Well worth a look at for something different i you have a midweek day available

Al.
