Ian Briggs should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
North West Stages 25-26 Feb

On the 25-26 Feb The North West Stages is being held at venues around the Blackpool/Preston Area
THIS IS NOT A PLEA FOR MARSHALS
I know rally marshaling does not appeal to all marshals, but even if you just want to spectate this is going to be a cracking event. For all you circuit types, this event attracts Darrians and Europas as well as 6R4s and thats before we get to the WRC cars.
The venues are not innaccessible forests, there is a stage on Blackpool prom running several times during the weekend, not just a straightline blast, the hairpin I was sector for last year saw several incidents and a well alight Imprezza there is also also a highly improbable stage around the Pontins holiday complex.
have a look at www.nwstages.co.uk if you do want to help you can go to the marshaling link, or contact me.

If the last few years are anything to go by it's a good day out, wide range of cars, as Ian says everthing from WRCs to Lotus Europas and even Land Rovers and this year has gone to a 2 day event, I've not yet seen the prom stage as have been marshalling at Leyland test track the last couple of years (sadly not running this year) and they still need marshals!

seeing as it was right on my doorstep, i thought it rude not to go and at least spectate on a freezing cold Sunday afternoon. Gave me the chance to exercise my camera again too, so here's my efforts from the 2006 North West Stages Rally, complete with almost rolling British Forces Landrover

You should have gone and marshalled Weeton and caught the Landy that did go over, you could hear the crunch in Belgium
