Brad Jones Racing was 'testing' what was purported to be the "ride car" last Friday week ago at Winton....

Three drivers all shared the car over the course of the day, without even taking anybody else out.

Although that would have been either lots of fun or pretty scarey, with no sign of a seat or harness on the passenger side !!!

Kelvin are you listening????

BTW an old friend of mine, who has seen Brad race over a fair stretch of time, was pretty sure that the car had that same 'funny gassy exhaust smell' that his AUSCAR & NASCAR used to have years ago.......

Optimax must have been in short supply in the bowsers at Winton that afternoon........

Its a plane retro, supposedly all the gear needs to be ready today, but none of the teams have said where exactly. Presumably 2 planes, one from Brisbane, one from Melbourne?

Murf, Jason Richards, and Rat are here already. They on TV for about half an hour this avo. They all hate reverse grid races and got quite vocal about it.
Jason actually comes across well on TV, but he just doesnt seem to get media time here in NZ at all.

Rat had a joking dig at his boss, then apologised. It was all very entertaining

I wouldnt be too happy about a reverse grid either if I had no spare car available.

Murf's spare car is being used by his codriver, Jason Richards will probably never get a spare car, while the Rat could probably get PMM's crew to nail a new one together in a hurry if required, but there isnt one sitting there under a dust sheet, ready to go...

You are exactly right, and that was Jason Richard's sentiments exactly. It all comes down to practical nature rather than whinging.

Rattie is probably in the best stead of the 3 drivers that featured, as you rightly point out.

Having said that, any modern Supercar team needs a spare car, yet so few have them. Mind you two out of three of the mentioned teams are hardly cash rich, so it will never be easy
