Silverstone 22nd - marshalls

From the cockpit, I gotta say you marshalls seemed to me to be very much on the ball. I was in my first meeting in FF2000 and so you guys wouldn't know me from Adam, but I was going fairly well in qualifying considering my "newness"(if you allow me to be so bold) but you were pretty sharp in using the blue flags when I was approaching cars. I was impresssed with your awareness. Good job guys. And the reason I'm posting this so late (like a saddo) is coz I've had a few

It's never too late to post thanks Mark and I'm glad you did so well on your first outing in FF2000!

Good luck for the rest of the season

Always nice to get some thanks and praise. And I hope this morning hasn't been too painful for you though...

As one of the flaggies at Silverstone (Copse Out) thank you, it is appreciation such as this that makes us feel like we have done a good job (even when we haven't!).

It's a 2 way thing, can I & the Flag Marshals @ Brooklands say well done for backing off under the waved yellows to allow the Marshals & Nick in the JCB to get cars out of the gravel without having to resort to the red flag.
As for the Caterhams, what can you say, 15 yes 15 battling for the lead, coming into, & going round Brooklands 5 abreast, lap after lap. well done.

Dear Mark,
as another flaggy, Maggots In during qualifying and Becketts in the afternoon,
I am pleased you felt we all did such a good job. However, my Observer did point out that, during the Caterham Graduate practise, I was being a little over enthusiastic with the Blue Flag. His reasons were taken on board and I apologies to the group of five drivers involved and the Blue flag person on post 5 (the post after me) . I would like to praise you and your fellow competitors for the way you observed the yellow flags for the incidents at Becketts during qualifying, well done.
It was a great day, with great company and.....wait for it.....it was warm and sunny .
Just I final note to say I hope the guy who rolled out of Becketts in the Careham Super Graduate race was O.K, it looked quite nasty , and I'll be seeing all you Caterham guys at Snetterton. At least the marshals won't need to bring any magnets, they've got their own

As the Blue Flag person at post 5, your comments are appreciated and I also hope that the driver of the rolled Super Graduate was OK - he was on his feet at the barrier after the roll. What a great day's racing! Almost every position was contested for by several cars and the lead changed several times a lap. Thank you drivers for putting a smile on my face!

Charles Elliot - the Super-Grad who rolled - is fine. I hear him and his car will be back out at Snett at the weekend
