Another Wednesday Testday @ Mallory

Nothing too exciting in the single seaters today, the usual selection of FFord 1600's, including Stuart Kestenbaum & Pete Daly. it was good to see Lorna, marshal & Petes better half out on the track, ready for her debut on Sunday.
They were joined by a Brabham F2 car & a Lola T300 F5000 car originally driven in the States by Gus Hutchinson + a Jedi.

The sports/saloons had far greater numbers & variety with an asortment of older Ferrari's including an immaculate 512, which looked to me like it was in IMSA spec. Other older cars included, 2 Lotus 22's a Chevron B8, a 60's Lotus Elan, a genuine GT40 & a Lola T70 along with 2 Aston Martin DB4's & a pre war Le Mans type Aston, as usually driven by Holly Mason. Other 'Tin Tops' on the track @ the same time as these, included, 2 Clios, 3 Mighty Minis, a John Cooper Challenge Mini Cooper, 3 Fiestas, an XJS, Austin A35, 2 Maestros, a Ginetta G27, a Saxo, TVR Vixen, a 750 Formula car & a TR2 who should really be called a TR3, as that's how many wheels he had after an excursion at the Esses.

The 2 most exciting cars out in the session though were both Escorts, 1 a plain white Mk1, the other a recent WRC version, they both looked quick & smooth.

An uneventful morning really with only a couple of stoppages, giving me plenty of time to chat with Little wayne, JP & Les. Happy Days.
