I thought the AASA versions also included HJ, HX etc and had slightly changed specs. If this is the case then they would not be "HQ" race cars as we know them. So I guess a HQ is not a HQ when its a HX.

Or perhaps..............When is a HQ not an HQ?
When the HQ exceeds 40% bog. Some HQs have have their log books removed after failing the body filler content test. You've all seen the yellow and red striped oil flag the flaggies "Wave" when there is oil on the track. We're thinks of using a White flag with a big Red "B" on it to signal to HQ drivers there has been an incident near the flagpoint and there may be a small quantity of panel filler on the track. |

LOL at MPA.
But seriously, I thought that was AMRS differentiating itself from CAMS, not the other way around. |

Almost every Thunderdome HQ was held together by bog, and when they had the obligitory 7 car pile up, half the clean-up time was picking up pieces of body filler. |

O my bad... So you're saying that a HQ running as a HQ in an AASA round can't be called a HQ?
And not to be confused with the Kingswood class. OK, but HQs predate Metrics so why cant we call them Formula 202? What has the HQRA got to say on the matter? |

There are 2 classes of HQ now. The original catagory and a breakaway group which run under sports sedan logbooks. Not sure of the exact changes..4 speed, hz as well and a couple of other things. You can enter a HQ in their races, but not the other way around.

I've noticed the driving standard also varies between the HQs and Kingswoods. |
