British and Irish head into Europe....

I see from this weeks Motorsport News that Tony Bell is planning to compete in the ERC round in Belgium this weekend before heading off to the round in Holland a week later - where he will be joined by Dermot Carnegie and John McCluskey. It'll be interesting to see how they get on although I'd imagine that Dermot and John would have one eye on Lydden by then and won't be risking damage. How do you think they'll get on?

Think John wont have Lydden on his mind...he can't win the championship so may as well go all out in the ERC!

McCluskey

My mate in Dublin tells me McCluskey won't be travelling to Holland. Not at all happy with the way the car is running so he has withdrawn apparently until everything is sorted. Wonder will he show in Lydden?? He has had a disaster mechanically this season.

Oh yeah a C4 would be nice, i remember hearing that McCluskey has first refusal on Kenneths current car at the end of the season. It would be great to see one here in the UK John told me at the last event that he has a new transporter truck ordered and should have it for Lydden. By all accounts its the dogs you know whats, F1 spec apparently. Keep an eye out for a new big rig in Lydden. Where do these Irish boys get all the money??

From what has been said (and has happened alot in the passed) that bermingrud has primary interest in hansens c4....

He drives the car which was built in between johns and the last xsara (which bermingrud now owns) they have transferred some more up to date parts onto the car Morten drives now.
He also has a C4 shell in Hansens workshop which will be ready for next year.

Think it is total rumour that john has first shout on the car (which started when it wasnt even finished). We will all just have to wait until Croft at the end of the year for Hansen to show off his C4 in the UK

Fullcircle is right. Bermingrud (or better, his sponsor) owns the two last Xsara's of Hansen. Morten now is racing the older of the pair as, with all the modifications, he feels more at ease in that one.

And Morten will have a C4 next year out of the Kenneth Hansen Motorsport workshop. Untill now his Kennyness hasn't decided if he will sell the current car or a complete new one to Bermingrud.

Bermingrud is also trying to get Walfridson into his team for 2007. After the satisfying one-off event in the ERC-round in Sweden, Bermingruds team could be the second 2-car team in the ERC.

The Belguim last weekend was brilliant, tight technical track, close sometimes aggressive driving. The C4's looked and went fantastic, particularly well done to O Anne for making the A final against the ERC regulars. Mention must also go to Andreas Eriksson who spent most of the time going round the track sideways thoroughly entertaining the big crowd. First time I ve witnessed the joker lap, I was critical before but am no longer , it has made a fantastic sport even better. Britain and Ireland really need there ERC rounds back were missing out big time. One to watch the big Supernational Merc that will be racing at Croft later this year.

Supernational Mercedes

The Mercedes in the supernational class in Croft is not the same as the Mercedes in Belgium.
The one that will race in Croft is the latest model.

Belgium : Ståle Simensen
Croft : Herbjorn Haug
