I don't really know what to expect from this season, I would like to think Muller, Tarquini or Thompson could win the title but I have a feeling it might be Jorg - Schnitzer have been trying for ages to win with Priaulx getting there first!
Not as many cars as I would have thought, OK so WTCC may have a few more top names but it's making the BTCC look better in terms of variety, rather than works BMWs and SEATs at the front. |

I'll be cheering for Schnitzer this year, Priaulx has won often enough already, time for another champion. And I love Jorg Muller's style, he's a fun guy off the track and a good racer.
And of course Coronel, I hope he can get some successes and that he doesn't move aside too easily for the factory cars. |

Is it being shown live via the WTCC website?
I am currently at uni and don't have access to Eurosport... |

Nice looking entry list, a bit of a shame it seems to be down on numbers signifcantly over last year though. Still, the quality is there.

I think the number will definitely increase when the European season starts, with more teams entering.

Chevrolet will use its 2006 specs cars at Curitiba. The new car will be launched for Zandvoort when WTCC returns to Europe.

First test done - doesn't show anything very spectacular but order is....
1. Farfus 2. J Muller 3. Coronel 4. Menu 5. Thompson 6. Rangoni (I) 7. Huff 8. Priaulx 9. Y Muller 10. Tarquini 11. Porteiro 12. Larini 13. Zanardi 14. Colciago (I) 15. Gene 16. D'Aste (I) 17. Corthals (I) 18. Hernandez (I) 19. Jourdain 20. Tielemans 21. O'Brien (I) Although its only really a shakedown, I'd say there are few surprises there to me. |

At the end of the test session Colciago crashed and then he was hit by Jourdain. It costed some time to get Colciago out of the car. The Italian driver is brought to the hospital for a medical check. Source: www.autosport.nl

My hopes for the weekend? Colciago. Two-times STCC champ, how could I not cheer for him? Go Roberto!

I do like the new liveries this year - Farfus and Colciago look cool but you've got to love O'Brien's lurid green Leon!!

At first glance Coronel's SEAT looks like a Team Halfords livery.

Yeah, Farfus' car is nice. BMW's always seem to have real classy liveries.
Check those teeth on O-Briens car! |
