DaPix should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Rahal deal done

Reports are circulating on other forums that the deal between Graham Rahal and Newman/Haas/Lanigan is finally signed and will be announced within a day or two. The sponsor is a big technology company (un-named but claimed to be known).

The same reports say that there will be several other signings this week and that the grid at Las Vegas will liikely be 18 cars, with no management subsidies.

I've believed for so long that the Rahal deal was done except for fomalities that I believe this report. I'm a little more skeptical about the 18 cars with no subsidies, but I'm willing to be convinced.

Let's watch for the press releases announcing these deals.

Couldn't agree more! About the no-subsidies we'll never know but, ultimately, who cares?

I prefer to have more subsidized entries than fewer unsubsidized;it obviously may open new problems in perspective , but when a new season is to start, short term considerations are bound to be more important.

Extremely exciting for both CC and Rahal.

Interesting things from the article linked

Quote:
But the announcement was delayed as language between the team and the primary sponsor of Rahal's car — a company based on Dr. Barry Sears' "Zone Diet" — was worked out.
Any idea of what the company is ?

Quote:
Graham Rahal had said racing for his father's team in the rival IndyCar Series was not an option since Bobby won't let his son race on ovals, tracks that dominate the IndyCar schedule.
Interesting considering the man runs two drivers on the oval dominated series, but then wasn't it mentioned that Bobby wished have Graham run for RLR at Indy ?

This is great. It's good to have his name and talent in this series.

That's a sharp looking car, also.
