What's this business about guests not being allowed in after 9.00am? It's printed on the tickets.

I wondered about that too but being new I thought it was the "norm"?

Who do you volunteer to for this meeting???
I know its a little late, but a late change of plans = a free weekend. Emailed Ali G last week, heard nothing from him and as yet no tickets |

It's not a BRSCC meeting!
Run by MSVR - Margaret is sending tickets I think for this. |

[QUOTE, brickkicker] Were is that printed, its not on mine? Is it on them all. Mine just says Marshal/officials guest admission [/QUOTE]
Oh, it's just on the front of my tickets then. Fully understandable knowing what my guests are like. |

Just a silly question here - are all the tickets the same, or are marshals' & guests' tickets different? We've only got two, so I'm wondering which, technically, we haven't got. ....and after last year's shenanigans, not having spare tickets must be counted as a blessing! Quote:

Told my guest to be there as stated so its up to them really. Shouldnt be a problem though as his lad is more excited than he is, so he'll definately be up in time!

So how long is a GT race then?
I note they give the timings for the support races. Am I being stupid because we just turn up to events we want to do without actually knowing anything about them so "know nothing"? (We only complain when even that has gone pear shaped.) At least when we go to Le Mans we can take the duration as a given!!!!!!!!!! |

The British GT races are 1 hour except Donington and Silverstone which are 2 hours each but there is only 1 per meeting at those two...

Well, that was an 'interesting' weekend! Being chased down the bank by a big truck tyre was very interesting.
A big thank you to the incident team at Lakeside, who had to cope with several big incidents, one of them particularly nasty; a job well done. Lightning CAN strike twice in the same place! |

Enjoyed Saturday, today was a farce
Was there a race without a safety car or a red flag today But....... The best crash of the weekend has to go to the numpty who tried to handbrake turn on the coach road this evening!!!! Just before the junction half way down the coach road, said numpty in a GREEN VAUXHALL OMEGA decides the queue of traffic was too long, leaves a gap between him and the car in front speeds up, yanks handbrake straight into tree at the other side of the road, then disappears down narrow lane probably to hide If it was you, your bumper is on the coach road!! |
