hometune should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Just noticed on rod's site that snet's posted as 26th and 27th. Is this a change? Hope not as sunday's difficult for me.

We have battled with HQ to get it on Saturday, but it seems as thought Snetterton will be over two days. Practice and one race saturday and then the second race is around midday on Sunday.

This is a Two day event but for some reason was only shown for the Saturday on the Calendar, Did i over hear at the weekend this might change due to the lack of competitors that could do the Sunday.

Further to my previous post...we were originally supposed to have one race mid afternoon and then one on satuday evening about 7pm...this was agreed as a good idea, but they seem to have forgotten that and have made us over two days.

No curfew at Snett? I doubt that I'll be able to attend for 2 days... I just can't think I'm going to cover my costs of getting there and back!

It is the weekend of the 24 hour 2CV race so there is no curfew.

There are many b&b establishments within a few miles of the circuit, expect to pay a very reasonable £20-£25 per person.

Is the 2nd race still only 10 mins ?, overnight stay for a 10 min race not very attractive, should at least be 20 mins to wait around that long.

Checking with BARC HQ, there is an agreed curfew with the local authority on Saturday evening at 18.30, in lieu of The 24 hour race getting dispensation to run through Sunday night. There may also be a tannoy restriction as well.

Plus I work nights so weekends away are hard to organise. Plus it's a long and awkward drive when I'll be tired. Plus I want to do some 'tinkering' to the car.

Well, you DID ask!

Are you back to full fitness now?

Should be. Gearbox is now with the Gearboxman, and should pick it up tomorrow. Got to get it fitted during the week, as its booked on the rollers Saturday to see if we can coax any more power from it

I've missed you guys. So I'm coming out to play at Snett.

It doesn't quite work if the regulation you're quoting is one you've written in yourself

There is late running on Saturday in order to have the (mandatory) night practice for the 24 hour race. There will be, if my memory is correct, a break between "normal" race activities and the night practice, along with, as Rod mentioned, a restriction on the tannoy use.

Thanks for confirming that Dave W. Our original intention was to have the second DMN race on Saturday evening, but as you say there is now an enforced break between 18.30 and 21.45. The 2CVs then have their night practice. If we had gone for first practice it would have forced a lot of our drivers to go to Snetterton on Friday along with all the Bank Holiday traffic. At least this way they have the option of going home Sunday afternoon or staying to watch some of the 24 hour race.

Gonna be taking it easy on this one. Got a little problem with the engine but not enough time to sort it. Getting it done between Snet and Coombe

Connected to the gearbox issue from last time Andy?

(I know the engine and gearbox should usually be connected... I may be a snapper but I'm not an idiot... I think)

Nothing to do with gearbox, just a little problem with the cam. Should be OK but want to get it rectified
