All looks lovely and shiny, but how will it stack up against Forza 2 where it matters?

Wow, Polyphony look like they are realy trying. GT5 Looks stunning, if it has damage and some good tuning it could take the fight to Forza, and with the PS3 dropping in price, it could do well.

Forza's weakness is it's visuals. GT4 could be re-released and still look better.
If Forza is a 1/10 in visuals, it is 10/10 in every other area (bar the amount of tracks). I'd like to think that Polyphony will pay attention to the details for no.5. Forget trying to populate the game with 700 cars, most of which are stupid Nissans anyways. Get the bloody basics right. Make the cars handle convincingly, get the sounds right, decent damage, tyre marks(!). Don't release a minor update like you have been doing for the best part of the last decade. GT has become an automotive Pokemon, so now would be a good time to reverse the trend! |

The trailer doesn't exactly give much away. Not enough to convince me to buy a PS3 by any means!

GT HD was just the GT4 engine with HD visuals, GT5 Prolouge will be closer to the final game.
Because Sony can now provide downloadable demo's, it give's them more time to perfect the final game, rather than only adding more cars/tracks and releasing it at Christmas. I bought my (US) PS3 to replace my Blu-ray player but titles like Killzone 2, Call of Duty 4, Lair etc. look fantastic. Last edited by JAG; 15 Jul 2007 at 14:03. |

The biggest improvements needed are:
- Bigger grids (I want 20+ cars on the grid). - Better AI (not just blindly driving on the line even if there's someone there). - Metro 6R4, Escort Mk2 (well why not?) |
