That all but proves, he knows what he's doing. If he'd chopped MH at that point it would have been curtains for his race. The Macaroon was too far up the side of the Ferrari. As I said, he no dopubt thought about a "chop" at the start but realised that would put him on the dusty side of the track. Of course I could be embuing TGF with more intelligence than he really possesses. |

All this begs the question ..... when did Villeneuve see a TGF start? This season, JV and EI have probably seen exactly the same as we have, on the TV replays,and as Peter says, the long lenses distort the perspective, as do the wide-angled onboard cameras. DC has probably had the best view, and he just asked for clarification of the rules. The start is just about the only exiting part of the race, let's not sanitise that as well.
