Proof if ever it were need that the pen is mightier than the swor....No wait.

The Pencil is mightier than the design software.

I wonder if the old-fashioned approach to track design is going to be the new trend....

BTW, my goal has been achieved, I got a vote and I'm proud of my result.

What be the next category to vote on SBF?? Are there gonna be any more categories??

Haha, if I could use the design software I would, to be honest. I've tried Sketchup a few times, but I don't think it offers me enough freedom to make a track exactly the way I want it. But that's probably because I'm doing something wrong . You have made some great circuits with that program though, so maybe I should keep at it.

@ Stig: I hand draw, but seeing as I don't have a scanner, I only post designs that can be justified in SketchUp. I just think they come out better than the computer ones. that's why I love Yannick's, yours and Tilke Wannabe's designs.

@ TW: the system was to have just a single category, as it's simpler.

Don't worry 'bout it Matt.

Why the one category, apart from the reason Tathrim put forward??

@Tathrim: Awww, thx for the comment.

The reason for just the one category was that in previous years when attempts have been made to run a poll such as this, there was never concenus on the number of categories or what those categories should actually be.

I suggested that every just submit thier own personal favourite from their own designs over the year, regardless of format and from that the best track of the year be voted for. This received agreement from those that commented after the suggestion so I ran with it and took the nominations.

So to summarise ... each persons own best design voted for to be the best of the year. No need for other categories.
