Belated congratulations, I believe a few more have been added since then but a couple of questions if I may....firstly roughly how many races do you think you have competed in over the years? and secondly how long did you have to wait for your first victory ?

Thanks again for the nice messages. Tricky question again. It took 18 months to get my first outright win (with a Ford Capri). I started in a Hillman Imp and I got my first class win at Ingliston in Scotland, race number 6 I believe. As for the total number of races....gosh thats going to take some working out. As an example when I had the Capri there were two production saloon car championships plus a Scottish seies so there were races every weekend from March to October. Then in hot rods I often did three meetings each with 3 races most weeks, remember we got start money then plus prize money. When I had Armorall sponsorship I even did two meetings on the same day, 3 on one occasion (Silverstone in a Mustang, then Donington in a Mazda and finally Brands in an Anglia).I spent one winter racing in New Zealand. As Win Percy once said racing becomes an addiction more than a hobby.
