Hi. I have been in financial retirement from rallying for the last two years and I know that the tarmac tyre regs changed. What I want to know is how that has affected the cost to us hard-up clubbies and whether there is still a second-hand market.

From my limited knowledge, looking at budget tyres for other motorsport I know that Kumho do a ESTA V700 tyre, suitable for tarmac rallying starting at £59 + vat
We got a lot of help and advice from South Shore tyres in Blackpool (www.tyresblackpool.co.uk), so it might be worth contacting them. Otherwise someone on the Racer's Forum might be able to help. |
